Patagonia´s best kept secret... El Encuentro offers modern and comfortable accommodations for up to 8 guests with a privileged riverside location. Owners Michael and Jane Beale have nurtured a family style business with a relaxed and comfortable atmoshpere. They are assisted by Steven and Antonia Twilegar, and bilingual guides to make your experience unforgetable.
Every meal is an experience with home baked breads and homegrown vegetables freshly picked from the garden. No Argentine lunch or dinner would be complete without the famous wines from Mendoza. Midday meals can be enjoyed by the riverside with your guide attending you, or you might prefer a leasurely ride back to the lodge and lunch on the veranda. After lunch we suggest ''Siesta'' before heading out for the evening hatch.
Of course, we are happy to attend to special dietary requests with advance notice.
The lodge itself is situated on the banks of the Rio Grande or Futaleufu River. Outside your window you will be amazed by the view. The largest is known as ¨The Thrown of the Clouds¨ and sits right accros the river from us. If you are destined to travel to Chile you are in luck. We are located just 5 miles from the boarder. You can drive to Futa for lunch and be back before the evening hatch.
We now have satellite internet in the house, so you are welcome to bring your computer to stay in touch with the outside world!
